EXCELLENT support for Lumbar/Sacral regions
This review is for the ComfyMed Premium Quality Back Brace (LGE 38″ to 50″) with Removable Lumbar Pad for Lower Back Pain Relief – Durable Medical Grade – Support Belt.
I am a nurse and along with being a nurse comes back pain. To the extent really depends on body mechanics – but I unfortunately started out with back pain before I started nursing and it has progressively gotten worse. Along with regular chiropractor visits – I have done many things to try to help alleviate the pain on my days off. This brace is a huge help!
I originally started using a back brace but the one I own heats up and you have to take it off when it gets too hot. This back brace is just a regular back brace – but it features a REALLY nice lumbar pillow which really helps promote good posture and takes pain off the L region. My injuries are at the L and S part of my spine – so I keep the lumbar pillow on when I am wearing it, it’s great.
This can be FULLY adjusted to all sizes 38-50 inches. I got the large – I have roughly a 38-40 inch waist. This fits PERFECTLY and I can see how this would fit up to a much larger size. What I love about this waist belt is how easy it us to customize the straps. There is the main strap that is VERY stretchy. You pull it to get it nice and secure around the waist. Then on the outside – there are sheer straps that can be pulled to even bring it tighter to the body. There is also a metal D ring to make ease of pulling the sheer straps.
When I wear this, my pain goes away and it continues to stay away while it’s on. It also has helped heal my pain when I take it off. What I do is make sure I have this on for several hours during the day when I am sitting or not doing anything that would be encumbered by a back brace. I think because the brace has helped me straighten my posture, and it holds everything in alignment for several hours a day, I get a lot of relief. I love this back brace and I think you will too. 5/5 stars

The Best
Very Nice! I’ve had a few back belts through the years and this one is the best I ever used, provides excellent back support. I wasn’t sure what I thought about the metal “D-Rings” when viewing before purchase but they are a plus, helps a great deal in cinching it up, I also think it will help the ends from rolling out of shape. Another feature that I like and probably what sold me on it, is that it is narrow in the belly area so it don’t dig-in when sitting and I’m sure it also helps it to retain its shape. I was to chiropractor a week ago and I still had one area in my lower back that was hurting but soon after putting on this belt and going for a walk, that now feels much better. I like this belt so much and the support it provides that I plan on buying another in a month or so just to have an extra. My opinion is that this is a well designed belt.

My pain was generally at its worse when I first woke up in the morning. I’m 71, and I have multiple lumbar spine issues including severe spinal stenosis. I confess to being introvert and of a somewhat negative nature, and tend to wallow in my own self pity about what had I done to deserve this! (I was a Class One Soccer Referee in the UK). Then I checked out the back braces available on line, and couldn’t help but notice the reviews published and the fact that in the main the product gets five stars from those who purchased the ComfyMed Brace. I went ahead and purchased one, and after just a couple of months, I’ll willingly add my five stars to the list! My pain was generally at its worse when I first woke up in the morning, after a night of contorted spinal positions. I just cant sleep on my back which I know is the recommended way for spine sufferers, no matter how I try. I have the answer now for the anticipated pain when I wake up, and that is to reach for the ComfyMed Brace (after I get dressed.) This is like miracle to me. It nips the pain in the bud, and the pain is virtually gone within about 30 minutes! Its comfortable enough that I wear it all of the time, even sitting in an armchair in the evening; although I don’t know that I necessarily need to do that. I would recommend this product to anyone who’s in my position, and who wants to avoid surgery.

I have lumbar radiculopathy which is very painful. This condition ended me up in the ER. Our insurance changed and a surgery copay to fix this would be way too expensive. I decided that I wanted to approach this conservatively. Please note that the night before this arrived, I was in a lot of pain. I asked for fast shipping so I could get this fast. When it arrived, I put it on. This back brace is high quality. I would not wear it next to the skin. I put a t-shirt on and then put the brace on top of that. It wraps around back to front and stays with velcro, and then there are two rings in the front where you can adjust the tightness. Within just a few minutes of wearing it, the pain was down. Typically due to this condition I have not had good luck riding in cars, because the vibration of the road bothers my spine. Not so with the brace. I was able to drive 7 miles from my rural home into town and back home and the pain was way down. Almost imperceptible. When I took it off at night because you can’t sleep with it at night, the pain was back. However, my physician prescribed pain reliever for overnight that works. The bottom line is that I, a patient with lumbar radiculopathy with some pretty bad pain, now view this brace as a partner in my conservative management of this condition. With my condition, my doctor advised against surgery. He saw the brace and said “that’s a good thing to do”. So I have his consent. Check with your doctor after you buy it. They are getting 5 stars because this is not flimsy. You can tell it is high quality and probably if this was durable medical equipment, it would cost 10 times as much. Let’s just say they manufactured it like it should cost a lot more. I am very, very pleased with this product and it has truly helped my quality of life. They get an A plus!

Definitely Pleased. Wayyyyyyy better than the first one I bought! In fact, this brace is great. I have lumbar stenosis and scoliosis which causes a lot of pain and instability in my spine. After one failed surgery, I am trying anything to avoid another surgery. The first brace I bought was too narrow, and too small even though I got the correct size according to the web page. That brace was basically useless. So, my hopes weren’t too high. First of all I received an email with a link to a YouTube video for correct wear. WATCH it!!! Easy. Then I got the brace. Superb. construction and REAL support. It is wide enough to allow you to sit and move about, and infinitely adjustable. I am so pleased, and I am not easily pleased! I know it is not a cure all, but it will help to allow me to garden and walk for exercise. Keep doing your abdominal exercises and wear this for a few hours a day. I hope it works for all who are in pain.
